Good news: Diversity is making strides on the runways. Well, at least in New York. For Fall 2019, nine out of ten models were women of color, making it possibly one of the most inclusive seasons ever and a sign that New York Fashion Week is changing for the better.
This season’s top models were a mix of newcomers and supermodels. Hailing from African nations like Angola and Nigeria, France, China and the U.S., the top models spanned the globe. One of the top performers even started modeling just to afford a NASA internship.
Now that we’ve piqued your curiosity, here are the top 10 models of New York Fashion Week Fall 2019. Stay tuned to see if they land a spot as one of the top models of fashion month.
