Why Walmart Express Delivery Is Perfect For Busy And Forgetful Women(Like Me)

All pandemic aside, 2020 has been a very productive year for your girl. While working from home has been a shock to the system for many of you, it's more of a been there done that type situation in my household. Although I have the pleasure of traveling to work with and for different brands, I have been working from home for many years and so has my husband. So yeah, being homebound has not been that much of a hardship in my household.

Now what does have me shook is just how busy I have been lately. Between managing a household with a husband and two fur babies, auntie duties, curating content, and running a business, time seems to fly. Honestly, some days I work through lunch before I realize that it is time to start preparing dinner. Then the issue becomes what to cook and what is or isn't in the refrigerator which leads to a store run more times than not.

Thankfully, Walmart has taken a lot of the hassle out of my day and eliminated some of the worrying associated with shopping due to COVID-19 by offering Express delivery. Express delivery is a no-contact option to allow customers to get the items they need without coming into the store or leaving home for pick-up. Oh and, is you are busy (like me) Express delivery allows you time to finish your work while waiting on your items to be delivered.

Personally, I have only used Walmart's Express delivery for groceries but this service offers so much more. Electronics, toys, and many other essential items are also available for Express delivery. There is a surplus $10 over Walmart’s typical delivery fees of $7.95 or $9.95, depending on the time of day. However, that is a small price to pay considering that "Rona" is outside and I am extra busy. Oh, and did I mention my grocery was delivered to my door within two hours?

Whether it’s “oh no, my child has a fever!”,  “oh no, I forgot the birthday candles", or "Chastity, whats from dinner!” time matters and Walmart has us covered. Simply open the Walmart app, select delivery, get your shop on, and wait for a knock at the door.

16 Eye-Catching Ear Cuffs to Polish Off Any Look

We all love ear candy, but your options may seem rather limited without pierced ears. While cool clip-on earrings exist, they often tug or pinch earlobes. Which means they’re too uncomfortable to wear all day long. The solution? Trendy ear cuffs that instantly elevate any outfit.

The best ear cuffs can be worn solo or stacked. (Since you can snag ones for just $14, stocking up on cuffs definitely won’t put a dent in your bank account.) FYI: All you pierced folks out there can style them with your favorite earrings. The variety of styles is clearly impressive. Think dainty danglers, outsize geometric stunners along with colorful crystal picks. They’re easy on the ears, too.

When it comes to how to wear them, there are plenty of options. You can try taking the street style route by rocking multiple ear cuffs and earrings all around your ears. Or embrace a more minimal look by sporting a sleek cuff. Feel free to fall somewhere in the middle. And don’t be afraid of mixing different metals because silver and gold go surprisingly well together.

Go ahead and check out the slideshow above for cool cuffs that absolutely make a statement.

All the Must-See Looks From the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards definitely looked different from previous years. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the award show wasn’t really live. Most of the performances, interviews and acceptance speeches were actually taped ahead of time.

Regardless, this year’s “ceremony” clearly belonged to Lady Gaga. Between performing and collecting all her awards, including the first-ever Tricon Award, the superstar was able to treat us to many looks and many masks. She kicked things off with a flashy Area number topped off by a clear headpiece by Conrad Muscarella. But it was her onstage ensembles that really stole the show. From Iris van Herpen to Christopher John Rogers to Valentino haute couture, Gaga went all out.

She wasn’t the only one. Miley Cyrus rocked a sheer Mugler dress, Joey King stood out in Versace and Sofia Carson sported a dramatic Giambattista Valli haute couture gown.

Scroll through the slideshow above to see the biggest fashion statements from the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.

Christian Dior’s Fall 2020 Campaign Pays Homage to Feminist Icon Marcella Campagnano

Christian Dior’s advertising campaigns have definitely missed the mark ever since Maria Grazia Chiuri took the helm back in 2016. Not even Cara Delevingne and Jennifer Lawrence have saved Dior’s recent campaigns. In addition, the brand’s Spring 2020 offering practically went unnoticed on our forums. Now the French fashion house pays tribute to Italian artist Marcella Campagnano for Fall 2020. Selena Forrest, Maryel Uchida, Maty Fall, Estelle Chen and Felice Noordhoff were all styled by Elin Svahn for the series of simple yet chic portraits shot by Paola Mattioli.

The campaign proved to be another dud. “When you strip all the narratives away it’s basically glorified lookbook photography,” critiqued Benn98.

“Even Zara’s online lookbooks are better than this,” TaylorBinque chimed in.

“This whole campaign is a disaster. Does not sell anything but despair,” added GivenchyAddict.

Also majorly underwhelmed by the outcome was vogue28: “Another uneventful and utterly mundane Christian Dior advertising campaign to add to the list under Maria Grazia Chiuri’s tenure.”

“It’s funny that in her time at Valentino the campaigns were good…” declared DK92.

“Bland clothes and a bland campaign,” said lauralynn025.

BlueRuin simply described the campaign as “blah.”

Stylish Skirt Suits to Wear to Work and on Weekends

One of the most memorable trends of the Fall 2020 runways may seem out of place right now. Especially since most of us are still working from home. We’re talking about skirt suits. But coordinating blazers and skirts are more practical than you think.

Some of our favorite skirt sets were sent down the runways of Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Gabriela Hearst, Michael Kors Collection and Prada. We really flipped over the ones boasting belted blazers.

Sure, you can wear the more structured options to the office (even your home office). Which we highly encourage as long as the skirts aren’t too short. But there are versions that are far more playful featuring miniskirts and/or cropped jackets designed for dressing up on your days off.

Get ready to suit up this fall by scrolling through the slideshow to find the best skirt suits of the season.

Vogue Italia Produces 100 Covers for Its September 2020 Issue

Make no mistake, Emanuele Farneti likes to keep Vogue Italia in the headlines. Farneti kick-started 2020 with a series of illustrated covers, invented a CGI cover star for March, went blank in response to the global health crisis and asked children from around the world to submit cover art for June. Now he bestows upon us a vast selection of covers for September 2020. Mark Borthwick snapped all 100 of them with the cover subjects, including Bethann Hardison, Freja Beha Erichsen, Ugbad Abdi along with Soo Joo Park, wearing Prada looks courtesy of Carlos Nazario.

Italian Vogue‘s latest clearly took our forums by surprise. “If the end is near…it can’t come fast enough. Farneti really outdid himself, hideous portraits…” said YohjiAddict.

“One hundred covers and all of them suck…good job!” kokobombon chimed in.

“One hundred covers? Were the editors on strike during the making of this issue? Or were they just too lazy to do some real editing?” wondered Ken Doll Jenner.

“How they managed to make so many beautiful women look so miserable and mediocre is beyond my brain capacity…” admitted Mody.

Miss Dalloway shares the same sentiment: “My god, the balls to have all these women looking this bad and worn out and then stick them not only on the cover, but use the word HOPE on it!”

“The Kardashians’ party photo booth pictures have more energy than this. The photography is dreadful and all this emptiness on almost every cover gives me anxiety. I hate the weird composition in 90 percent of them and how half of the covers were ruined by weird cropping and positioning,” called out aracic.

Forum member vogue28 is also majorly underwhelmed. “One hundred covers is an absolute embarrassment and I am officially convinced that Farneti just torments us with these gimmicks for the sake of generating buzz. This magazine is a shadow of its former self.”

15 Nail Polish Shades to Make the Transition From Summer to Fall a Bit More Colorful

While the summer-meets-fall intersection can be tricky to navigate on the clothing front, there’s an easy way to make the jump when it comes to beauty. Simply switch up your nail polish colors. Making the switch is cost-effective and an instant mood-booster. Plus, you can score stellar shades for under $5 so you can change things up every single day of the week. Or every few hours. We won’t judge.

You may think that summer calls strictly for bright shades and fall demands darker hues, but it’s really not that cut and dry. Everything from eye-catching pinks to neutrals perfect for French manis to borderline neon hues can all still hold their own straight through September. But if you’re looking for something a tad deeper, opt for rich wine shades, more mellow yellows, bold blues and gorgeous grays. (Gray is set to be the color of fall, after all.)

Read on to discover the 15 nail polish colors that will make the transition to fall a whole lot easier. Still looking to hold on to a bit of summer? Rock these colors on your toes as well for a matchy-matchy vibe.

Leather Dresses Are the Secret to Trans-Seasonal Dressing Success

Once summer starts we like all of our dresses to be breezy and preferably linen. Fall is (obviously) a different story. We tend to favor heavier fabrics. The period between summer and fall is trickier. We all want something we can wear as soon as we get it and well into October. That’s where leather dresses come in handy.

Whether you’re OK rocking real leather or will only commit to faux and vegan versions, there’s a dress for you. And there are plenty of styles to choose from. From a sleek slip dress to countless shirtdresses in both mini and midi formats to wrap dresses, you have lots of options to add to your virtual shopping cart.

Wear them as soon as they arrive or layer them later. Use the minidresses to top off your favorite fall pants. Slip a turtleneck under sleeveless takes. And go ahead and pull on a comfy cardi over the ones with straps.

See the slideshow above for the best leather dresses to take you from summer to fall seamlessly.

Malika Louback Channels Prince and Michael Jackson on Vogue Paris’ September 2020 Cover

If there’s any magazine that has gotten us through the pandemic, it’s Vogue Paris. Emmanuelle Alt has successfully managed to produce covers via conventional photoshoots while making both Bella and Gigi Hadid, Mica Argañaraz and Natalia Vodianova cover stars in the process. Going the extra mile in an attempt to impress, Alt finally gives the cover of the French fashion bible to a fresh new face for September 2020. Captured by Mikael Jansson, newcomer Malika Louback strikes a pose in head-to-toe Saint Laurent (picked by Alt) channeling icons Prince and Michael Jackson.

“I love it! For the fact that it’s so unapologetically about fashion,” admired mikel the moment the cover dropped.

“This is so good! It’s the first Vogue September cover that exudes fashion without neglecting their theme of hope,” echoed crmsnsnwflks.

“I love it! It’s very in your face! It’s a statement for sure. The styling is on brand as well. Alt’s Vogue surely knows its identity,” agreed MON.

“I love it! A gorgeous black model on the cover of Vogue Paris is always great to see,” appreciated mepps.

But not everyone was raving about the outcome. “I am beyond disappointed. A huge waste of a beautiful model and an amazing collection,” declared avonlea002.

“I mean is it garish? Sure, but come on, so much fun. I love everything about this cover!” raved Miss Dalloway.

Another triumph for Vogue Paris? Sound off and share your thoughts here.

14 Far-From-Basic Black Heels Because We Like Pumps With a Little Personality

Heels have definitely taken a back seat to more comfy footwear since the pandemic hit. After all, no one wants to slip on a pair for a Zoom call when no one can see your feet. While many experts are suggesting high heels won’t make a comeback, we beg to differ. In fact, we’re betting we’ll all want to dress up again. And nothing dresses up an outfit better than black pumps.

Confession: We’re pretty picky when it comes to black pumps. We’re somewhat flexible on heel height. (We love a wide range, from kitten to towering stilettos.) What isn’t debatable is that they can’t be basic. You know, plain ol’ leather (including patent) or suede iterations that are more about function than form.

On our wishlist? Dynamic details like cut-outs, mesh, quilting and flashy buckles. We’re also down for fancy pumps with jewelry-like accents. Think hidden pearls and attached anklets.

Check out the slideshow for the best black pumps that really make a statement.

Vogue Picks Paintings for Its September 2020 Covers

From covers celebrating global beauty to the magazine’s beautiful and symbolic answer to the pandemic to a powerful Simone Biles cover just last month, Vogue has been nothing short of amazing this year thus far. Anna Wintour isn’t about to let standards slip with the unveiling of the title’s all-important September 2020 issue. Names like Kamala Harris, Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid floated around our Cover Rumor Thread, but Wintour is full of surprises bestowing upon us a pair of covers by American artists Jordan Casteel and Kerry James Marshall. Cover one (below) created by Casteel features Aurora James on a Brooklyn rooftop draped in Pyer Moss, while Marshall’s alternative (after the jump) showcases a fictional character wearing Off-White.

How did the mag’s latest fare on our forums? “An illustrated cover? This is so very…May 2020 now that the VAST majority of Vogues around the globe have managed to produce conventional photoshoots amid the pandemic. Surely a Vogue-worthy fashion photographer was available in New York. Not into this at all,” voiced vogue28.

“Hope? More like Nope. This is abysmal. Wintour should have left over a decade ago, but her gigantic ego will not let that happen of course. Another nail in the coffin of U.S. Vogue,” added SanderGreen.

“I’m just…so tired. What a missed opportunity to create a beautiful, powerful, uplifting cover. All these attempts at the theme of ‘hope’ have been utterly hopeless. No wonder no one’s buying magazines,” LastNight chimed in.

KINGofVERSAILLES wasn’t impressed, either. “I don’t like this painting at all as a magazine cover, certainly not for the September issue of Vogue…”

“I’m all for cover illustrations, but when they are pretty and done right, not done tacky and looking like they should be in a children’s book. This isn’t even a cover that embodies fashion or glamour or anything!” proclaimed Mercury6181.

All the September 2020 Magazine Covers We Loved and Hated

Even in the midst of a pandemic, the September issues are still the most important editions on the print calendar. And this year, editors had to get creative. Some September 2020 covers really hit the mark. But, as usual, some fall completely flat.

Vogue decided to focus on hope with many of its editions, including British Vogue’s salute to activism. What really impresses us about the current crop of September covers is how diverse the cover stars are. Hunter Schafer wins the month with a pair of breathtaking Allure covers. Rihanna is (once again) the face of Harper’s Bazaar. And Jill Kortleve stars on Vogue Netherlands’ latest offering.

On the fashion front, we are both pleased and disappointed. InStyle is a clear winner by outfitting Zendaya in two striking looks. Both ELLE Spain and Town & Country surprised us with their stylish covers. We’re still on the fence regarding Vogue Paris’ ode to the 80s, though.

See the slideshow above for the best and worst September 2020 covers.
