“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” That quote is one of the most iconic lines from The Devil Wears Prada. While we can appreciate Miranda Priestly’s feelings and could watch her devastatingly sarcastic delivery on repeat, we have to agree to disagree with her on this one. Yes, florals are an overused motif when spring rolls in. For Spring 2018, retro floral prints ruled the runway and even during Fall 2018 florals were still popular.
But who can say no to florals, especially after such a harsh winter with little to no sign of greenery? Our best solution to easing into spring without being too over-the-top is to make the floral additions subtle with prints on different kinds of accessories rather overdosing on giant floral-covered maxi dresses. These are the floral accessories that even Miranda Priestly would give an almost-imperceptible nod to.
