Your wedding day is one day it’s totally permissible to go overboard. From a long, lacy veil that rivals Meghan Markle’s to flashy embroidery worthy of Cinderella, it’s frequently go big or go home. But when it came to New York’s Bridal Fall 2021 collections, bigger wasn’t always better.
There were plenty of grand gowns on offer. There were just as many more minimalist dresses. Of course, minimalist definitely doesn’t mean boring. Instead of lots of lace and sparkle, bridal designers focused more on structure, cool angles and strategic draping.
In many cases it all came down to details. Like scalloped bodices, back bows and pleated accents. Not a fan of veils? Try a caped wedding dress, which appears to be trending for fall.
